This drawing is next to impossible to make out.  The line work is very light.  This was one of our practice drawings for our final project.  Our final project was to be a 30" high by 20" wide rendering of the still life that we had seen on the second day of class.  We would spend roughly a week and a half on the drawing.

We were told to plan for about 30 hours of drawing  and perhaps more (In my case, it turned out to be 72).

The drawing would be in a grid of 5" x 5" squares for the purpose of our getting a handle on the drawing.  The practice drawing was an 18" high x 12" wide surface with 3" x 3" squares.  i.e. it was proportional to the final drawing but in a smaller scale.

The idea was to practice the layout on the smaller scale, transfer it to the larger drawing surface and render the value.

Sounds like a good idea. right?  I've devoted an entire section of this site to the painful details of my labors with the final project ...
