| This was more like
a drafting exercise than a drawing exercise since we were permitted to
use a straight edge. We were to draw our home kitchen in a two
point perspective.
I was working unusual hours at work and I had left this partially undone, needing only to fill in a few cabinet doors to complete. Unfortunately, I got terribly ill the day this was due, perhaps from lack of sleep, the odd hours or even my breakfast that morning. Whatever it was, I was feverish and had about a zero energy level. It took me an hour to draw two small cabinet doors and I made a mistake every time I applied the pencil to the paper. Finishing the drawing was an ordeal but I had it completed in time to submit. (Our instructor was very rigid with deadlines and no excuses, so my fever and whatever would not have cut it.) |
