The drawing at right is after the final 2 hours of punching it up.  It's kind of hard to explain the differences except in a few areas.  The contrast of the photos is different because they were taken in different locations with different lighting.

There is a clay pot just below the middle on the left.  It is darker in the image at right and that helps the cloth in front of it stand out.  There is a paint brush just to the left of that cloth and the brush is in front of a paint can.  In the drawing at left, it doesn't stand out much but on the right, there is a contrast created to make it stand out more from the can.

These were the kinds of things I tried to do to complete the drawing.  I can say that the instructor kept emphasizing the need to provide contrast between objects.  I didn't necessarily get that as he tended to want things to be darker than I saw them to be.  We should put in features to create the contrast even though one cannot see them when looking at the real objects and that is something that comes with experience.

Aside from that line quality, proportion and scale, as well as perspective may have been criteria for the evaluation.  I say they may have been because I'm not sure what the emphasis was on each.  My drawing was judged to be nominally acceptable.
